The 2022/2023 California Youth Leadership Summit was an online event for youth by youth with high school and college students attending from throughout California, as well as from 150 countries throughout the world. All of the panel topics and questions were selected by youth. Panel moderators included the youngest singer/songwriter to ever appear on American Idol and The Voice, Ava August, 2020 U.S. Karate Olympian Sakura Kokumai, University of California at San Diego Distinguished Research Professor in Climate Sciences Dr. Veerabhadran Ramanathan, University of California, Berkeley School of Public Health: Chief of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Belonging Ché L. Abram, Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability: Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Director Dr. Guadalupe Carrillo, Consul General of Canada in Los Angeles and acclaimed actor, writer & director Zaib Shaikh,  mixed model, actress, Lawyer and Asia’s Next Top Model contestant Sharnie Fenn, and UCLA School of Law Promise Institute for Human Rights Executive Director Kate Mackintosh.
