In April 2015 Anaheim teacher Katie Filbeck traveled to to Mito, Japan to visit with the students she had taught in August, 2014 during their one-week student exchange in Anaheim, California. Mito, which has been Anaheim’s sister city since 1976, is located 70 miles north of Tokyo, is the Plum Blossom Capital and a center of commerce, culture, education and political power. The City of Anaheim hosts annual student exchange visits from Mito.
