On August 16th, 2015 members of the Los Angeles Nagoya Sister City Affiliation (LANSCA) welcomed the Deputy Mayor of Nagoya Tamiya Masamichi and members of the International Relations Division of the City of Nagoya’s Office of the Mayor. The representatives of Nagoya had taken part in the 2015 Nissei Week parade in Los Angeles and members of LANSCA met the Nagoya representatives for a farewell dinner at Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar at L.A. Live.

The cities of Los Angeles and Nagoya became sister cities in 1959, the first such relationship for each city under the stimulus of President Eisenhower’s People to People Program.
