Autumn 2016 SoCal Sister Cities Regional Meeting Held in Anaheim

The Autumn 2016 Sister Cities International Southern California Chapter regional and board meeting was held on November 5th, 2016 at Anaheim University’s center in Anaheim, California from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm. The theme of the regional meeting was “Best Practices and Success Stories” and speakers included Paul Waters of 1st Community Insurance Services, who spoke about insurance for non-profit organizations and the risks associated with not having insurance when conducting the various activities that sister city do. Ted White spoke about the public worker exchange he did through the Anaheim Sister City Commission and the experience and insight he gained by working in the city hall planning department of Anaheim’s sister city Vitoria Gasteiz, Spain, while Fabiola Kinder spoke about the art exchange activities that the Laguna Beach Sister Cities Association has conducted.
